Xmas 2022

Another cracking Evo Xmas Night out with £1000 raised for Charity J29, thanks to Katherine for calling in from J29..!!

They do an amazing amount work with local families especially in these tough times

Also many thanks to the Evo Coaches, Evo Bann Legends and THE LADS who all donated..

What a night with a fantastic bunch of lads..!!

It Twas the night before the Christmas Party when all through the town,

Thankfully this year the Legends will stir

The outfits and wigs will again be hung on the doors with gentle care,

Knowing Bungle soon will be there.

With the legends nestled all snug in their beds,

Knowing there’s every chance of a late one and too many beers

We all can’t wait for the festive cheer.

The year has been tough, but still at each turn

People have become heroes, and helped us to learn.

We’ll rediscover our christmas spirit, we’ll forget inflation is rising; and crime rates are tripling; that fuel bills are up, and mortgages are crippling.

We’re finally back to Thursday night football and chats over a beer

So thanks to all you boys for keeping up the spirits and cheer

At last us legends can gather again,

It’ll be great to see all those smiles, and we all know the reason.

To make the most of this festive season

Again Bungle will spring to his feet,

He’ll raise up his glass and say Legends please eat,

‘Ho ho ho’ he’ll cheer ‘who loves you baby’!

Onto the tables and onto the bar!

Now drink away! Drink away! Drink away all!

Happy Christmas to you all, and to all have wonderful night!

Paul,

Thank you very much for your support to the Christmas project this year again.

Year-on-year we have seen the situation deteriorate within the local community.

The numbers of families we are now supporting with food and home heating utilities are at record levels.

On an average weekly basis we have between 30 to 35 food parcels going out.

This is in addition to support with oil, gas electricity. The vast majority of those we support are working families. The effect of Covid, reduced hours and the rays in utilities have forced Nanny families into the intolerable situation is.

We are hearing stories of families struggling to dry children’s school uniforms because there is no heat in the house. We are hearing regular stories of children going to school without any breakfast or any means of break or lunch.

The pressure we see on parents in many situations is leading to serious cases of extremely poor mental health and in some situations dreadful circumstances of self harm and suicidal tendencies.

The support we received from you and the coaches last year went directly into the homes of local families in Banbridge. It heated homes, kept lights on and put food on tables.

Without support from the local community we are not able to do the work we do and it is a simple as that.
